Maggie's Birthday Party!

I think she enjoyed her cupcake!!

Weston LOVED his Easter basket...wouldn't let go of it!

Weston fell over...but still held onto the basket!

I love those little knees!

He waved to all his friends when
we got to the party.

Then, chewed on the basket a while.

Emily & the birthday girl!

Weston attended his very first birthday party today. His friend Maggie Oxford is turning one. It was an Easter egg hunt, so Weston brought his basket...but we didn't come home with any eggs! The basket alone was good enough for him. All the kids were dressed in their sweet Easter outfits, including Weston, so I took a lot of pictures :) !

Visit with the Easter Bunny

I took Weston to the mall to meet the Easter Bunny a few weeks ago. He wasn't too impressed, but he cooperated nonetheless. I don't have my scanner up, so I just took a picture of the picture. Sorry, it is a little fuzzy & unclear.

When Will flew home last weekend, we got together with friends at the Mexican restaurant. Weston tried lemons and guacamole for the first time. He loved the lemons, but he wasn't a fan of guacamole! Weston had a great time playing with his daddy.

Hanging Out With My Cousin

With Mommy & Andrew in Andrew's Backyard

My cousin & me

We had tons of fun!

I am getting so big!

With my Grandy

In my Exersaucer

We just got back from seeing Uncle Brian, Aunt Marzelle, and my cousin Andrew in Jackson. Mimi bought Andrew & me matching outfits, so of course, Mommy had to take lots of pictures. Andrew played very nicely with me, and he shared his toys. Also this week, my mom put my Exersaucer together. I love playing in it! We've been going on lots of strolls in the neighborhood lately. I love being outside. I will be 8 months old tomorrow!

Trying To Crawl

After Weston's afternoon nap, I walked in to find him laying on his tummy and working on his crawling skills. Today, he discovered how to get up on his knees and rock back and forth. It was hysterical! He was so proud of himself, grinning from ear to ear. I felt like he had just done something extraordinary, too! He was full of himself the rest of the afternoon. Make sure you check out the video.

Trip to San Antonio

Remembering the Alamo
People-watching at the Riverwalk

On top of the Tower of the Americas

With mommy in the Q room

Valentine's Day Dinner with my 2 Valentines
Playing with Daddy is so much fun!
In the Sit & Step "Dirty" & Rebecca loaned us.
He loved it!!!
When Grandy & Mimi dropped us off at the
Memphis airport
Before checking in
On my first plane ride
In the cockpit with the Captain...locating all
the important buttons & the throttle.
Sitting in the Captain's seat...hmm..."How do
I fly this thing?"

Weston & I just returned from a trip to San Antonio. He tolerated air travel pretty well. Each time, he would get fussy for a little bit, then fall asleep to the noise of the engine. I took his picture in the cockpit with the pilot so he could remember his first flight. He also wanted to "remember the Alamo", so we took him there on our way to the Riverwalk. He had a blast watching all the people and boats go by. We also went to the top of the Tower of the Americas and had dinner at the Chart House restaurant. He enjoyed looking out the big windows & it was such a cool view of the city. Will has been going to Oak Hills Church where Max Lucado is pastor, so we went there the Sunday before last. The sermon series right now is The Story from his book (same title). We really enjoyed listening to him. Weston & I had so much fun in San Antonio, and we can't wait to go back.

Hanging Around the House

Giggling with Grandy & Mimi

Look, mom! No hands!
(Standing against the ottoman)

Weston LOVES playing with his feet

His rock climbing wall:)

Enjoying the swing

It was nice outside yesterday...around 70 degrees, so we played on the swingset. Mimi pushed Weston in the baby swing while I documented his first time playing outside. He didn't really like the sun in his eyes, though. I finally took a couple of pictures of our new house for our SC friends to see...we'd love for you to come visit!

Staying Busy

Somebody hated shopping with the girls and is
in need of some "man" time with Daddy

Much happier when we got home!

Ivey Kate & Weston
Chicks Dig Me
We've had a busy week, so far. On Sunday, we went to watch the Superbowl at the Brands' house. Weston and Ivey Kate became friends. On Monday, we ran errands all afternoon with Mimi. Weston was crying at Hobby Lobby until I put several long-stem silk daisies in his hands. He was holding them in his fist like they were balloons, and he had the biggest smile on his face as he looked up at them. I wish I had my camera! Tuesday, we went to lunch with Susannah & Corinne Pace. Today, we took BOTH dogs to the vet. Mimi tagged along for some much needed help. Our new vet's name is Stephen King...remember Pet Cemetery! Weston has been working on some new tricks--pulling himself up to a sitting position. He took his bath sitting up tonight, and he was so proud of himself. He is learning to expect an applause for each of these new tricks. We miss you Daddy and can't wait to see you soon!
