We celebrated James' 6th birthday with a pool party at Mimi and Grandy's.  James invited his classmates, as well as Isaac, Joshua, and Everett.  The kids swam, ate pizza, and cake.  James specifically requested a Spider Man-Captain America cake. For party favors, James handed out superhero masks and capes.  They provided an afternoon of entertainment for everyone! On James' birthday night, we went to Mt. Fuji with Mimi and Grandy.  We also celebrated September birthdays at Cornerstone, too.  I got to help bring the party to the school and see my "Middles" blow out their birthday candles.

We went to stay at Mimi and Grandy's condo in Tidewater for Connor's 9th birthday weekend.  Connor got to pick out a skim board as his gift from Mimi and Grandy.  He had been wanting one since we went to the beach for Weston's World Series tournament. He was quite the master on the skim board right away.  On the beach, the kids played hard together all day.  One interesting thing about this trip was the amount of jellyfish on the beach and in the water.  Instead of letting the jellies get us down, we decided to hunt them.  Every time we found one, we buried it in the sand so it wouldn't sting anyone.  We found some that were bigger than our shovel, and we found tiny ones, too.  For Connor's birthday breakfast, we cooked eggs and birthday muffins.  We went to Fin & Fork for his birthday dinner out.  We had reservations, but we still had to wait a couple of hours to be seated due to the Labor Day weekend.  The funniest thing was when all the kids, except Connor, fell asleep at the table while we were waiting on food.  The boy got to celebrate a little birthday dinner time as an only child!
