Getting adjusted to having a new baby around was a lot more difficult than people let on. The first few days of NO SLEEP turned into weeks, so we practically lived in a state of exhaustion for a while. Why don't people warn you about that? Now, weeks later, we are so relieved that he is getting on a good routine and is sleeping through the night. Will and I are "Becoming Babywise", since I borrowed the book from a friend. So far, we think it has worked miracles. Weston is absolutely adorable. My favorite times of the day are waking him up in the morning or after naps and bath time. He is so sweet when you wake him up & he loves taking baths.

William Weston Parrott came into the world on Tuesday, July 22nd at 1:09 AM. He weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 20 inches long. Weston is absolutely precious. We are so obsessed with him, and I find myself taking several pictures of him each day. He has already grown almost 2 inches and 2 pounds in just one month!!

Now that we have a new addition to the family, we were told by friends that it was time to set up a blogspot. Here it is! What would a good beginning to the blog be without a little background information? So, here goes. Will & I met in Columbus, MS when he was an instructor pilot at Columbus AFB and I was in my second year of graduate school. We met at church one night through a mutual friend. We dated for a year before getting engaged in San Diego, CA. Four months later, we got married at Dunleith Plantation in Natchez, MS. We honeymooned for a week in Kaui, Hawaii, before packing up and moving to Sumter, SC. Will & I have been in Sumter for over 3 years now where he is stationed at Shaw AFB. We just welcomed our first child into the world in July. I just quit working full time as a speech pathologist to be a stay at home mom for a while.
