That Time James Swallowed a Coin

He wasn't sure whether it was a nickel or a quarter.  All he knew was that it was "a silver one."  We took him to get an x-ray at the emergency room.  Then, we just waited for it to make its way back out.  We never saw that coin again, but we are thankful it didn't block his airway.

First Boat Outing of the Summer

We took Double Play out to Bay Springs Lake for her first trip this summer, and it was a good one.  James rode the ski trainer and Weston tried to ski for the first time. He was able to get up for a few seconds before wiping out.

Connor and I had fun at the Memphis Zoo with his 2nd grade friends.  Our favorite exhibit was the penguins.  Their keeper was very informative and we got to see them at feeding time.

James' Kindergarten Graduation

Our Jamesey-Love graduated from FUMC kindergarten with the Kathy's.  Mommy, Daddy, Hannah, Mimi, Grandy, Nana, and Granddaddy celebrated with James at the ceremony and luncheon.  James did an excellent job with his speaking parts.  This came as no surprise, because he was the first one in his class to memorize and recite all the Bible verses for each letter of the alphabet.  James is a hard worker, and he is very motivated to achieve goals.  We are all so very proud of him.  We look forward to seeing how God uses the special gifts and talents he's blessed our James with.
