The Five of Us

Will, Connor (4), James (1), Me (8 months pregnant with Hannah), and Weston (6)

On Mother's Day, we snapped a few pictures of us as a family of five, since we will soon be a family of six.  I am so thankful for my boys and the joy they bring us each day.  I can't imagine who I would be without them, because they have taught me how to be my best self.  My cup overflows with love for them and their daddy.  I'm just so blessed to have the opportunity to be Will's wife and their mother.  God has been so good to me.

Some sweet friends of mine hosted a baby shower to help celebrate the upcoming arrival of baby Hannah.  I have been overwhelmed by the amount of love and excitement from friends as we await Hannah's arrival.  Hannah received lots of dresses, swaddling blankets, booties, bibs, diapers, and hair bows.  I feel so incredibly blessed to have such wonderful friends. With a house full of precious boys, we never thought we'd see any pink in the Parrott house, but it has been a fun new adventure!  The dresses and all the accessories that come with a baby girl have given me a bit of a shopping addiction.  Hannah's little closet is filling up quickly because shopping for her has been so much fun.  We can't wait to meet our baby girl soon!

Connor was so excited about his first tee ball game that he was running around being wild with his teammates before it even started.  (His team was appropriately named the Indians).  I was worried that he might run out of steam before the game, but the adrenaline kept him going!  He was finally old enough to play tee ball, after watching Weston play for two seasons.  He did a great job hitting the ball with each turn at bat.  He did an amazing job fielding the ball, too.  He ran at top speed after EVERY ball that was hit--even if he was playing third base and the ball was hit to right field.  He really gave it his all!  He continues to play his best in every game so far.  We couldn't be more proud of him for hustling and giving his best effort.

Connor just had his school Spring program last week.  On the day of the program, he gave himself a haircut while at school.  Unfortunately, he went to cutting his hair with great effort, as well, cutting almost three inches in length close to his scalp.  His teachers were sweet enough to put his hair clippings in a bag for Mommy to see them.  Mimi joked with his teachers that we tried to glue it all back, but it did not work.  Needless to say, we gave Mrs. Blair an emergency call to get his hair straightened out that afternoon before the program.  She graciously agreed to squeeze him into her busy schedule.
