We went to Georgia for Father's Day weekend.  The boys had fun swimming in Anna's pool and picking blackberries with Granddaddy.  They also got to hang out a lot with their cousins, Kayla & Emily.  On Father's Day, we went to visit Nanny & Great-Granddaddy at their home.  Nanny was in the bed, but she woke up a few times to see Weston & Connor talking to her.  Great-Grandaddy was glad to see the boys and visit with them.  I took a picture of all the Parrott men, so we had four generations together.  We told Great-Grandaddy that we were naming baby James Everett after him, and his reply was, "That's a good name".  Everett is the middle name of Great-Grandaddy, Grandaddy, Will, and now our baby boy that is due in September.

In May, we got the chance to go to Orange Beach for a long weekend when Mimi & Grandy's condo was available.  We had the most relaxing and fun time.  Connor doesn't sit still often, but he loved sitting for hours on the beach in his chair or in Mommy or Daddy's lap.  Weston had a blast hunting for shells and playing in the ocean.  Both boys loved swimming in the pool, too.  Connor mostly stayed on "the porch" of the pool, as he called it (the bench seating in the shallow end), while Weston practiced his "reach and pull" swim strokes.  We ate at LuLu's one night, which the boys always find very entertaining.  We also went to what Weston calls "pirate golf" to play putt-putt.  Weston lucked up, and he scored 2 hole-in-ones!  Mommy & Connor each also scored a hole-in-one.  It was nice to slow down a bit at the beach from our fast-paced schedules.  There is some of the best family time at the beach.  Next time we go, we'll have a third baby boy with us to add to the fun.

On April 13, Weston played his very first tee ball game.  He was so excited about finally playing on a team.  He was eager to both hit and field every ball that came his way.  His first hit landed him on first base.  Then, as the next batter hit, Weston left first base to go help the other team field the ball, then he ran to second base.  It was hilarious!  He was so proud of himself every step of the way.  Nana, Granddaddy, Mimi, Grandy, Connor, & Mommy were all watching him play, while Daddy helped coach.  It was good to see Weston so happy about playing his first team sport.  Today, I signed him up to play "Soccer ball" (as he calls it) in the Fall.  Will really wanted him to get to play this year, since he had played soccer growing up.  The first game is around mid-September, perfect timing for James Everett to show up, right?  Well, I really hope I'll be able to be present at his first soccer game.  I don't want to miss it!
During tee ball season, the teams were scheduled to play two games per week.  The games were during supper time (either 6:00 or 7:00), so it shook up our meal time routine a bit.  It was hard finding a good rhythm of going to games on Mondays and Thursdays, having small group on Wednesday nights, and just enjoying being home together for meals on other nights.  I love that our family sits down for meals together most nights, and we often have family devotion at the dinner table.  This is such a special time that we have together as a family (that unfortunately, not every family has), and I want to protect that time as much as possible.
