Excited about his new pack-pack

We celebrated James's 2nd birthday the weekend after Labor Day.  Nana and Granddaddy came over from Georgia.  Mimi and Grandy came to the party too.  We had a special family dinner, complete with a giraffe birthday cake and ice cream.  James, of course, got to eat his cake on the special plate!  The most special part of James's big day was getting to go on an only child date with Mommy and Daddy to the Buffalo Park.  We chose this place for James's birthday date, because he loves his giraffe stuffed animal, and he always chants "an-mals, an-mals" as we drive by the Buffalo Park on the way to school.  James had a great time, and he especially enjoyed seeing the giraffe and the camel.  He had so much fun that he didn't want to leave!  After dinner that night, James opened presents with the family.  Mimi and Grandy got him a broom for one of his gifts.  He absolutely loved it, and he worked so hard cleaning the floors with it.  Nana and Granddaddy gave him a grill playset, which he also loved.  He pretended to cook burgers and hot dogs for everyone with it.  Mommy and Daddy gave him a new dinosaur backpack for school.  He called it his pack-pack.  We completed James's big day with a bath and story time with Mommy.  We read How Does a Dinosaur Say Goodnight--James's favorite bedtime book.  We are so thankful for our sweet Jamesy-boy.  He is a lot of fun, but he also has a very gentle and kind spirit.  Happy Birthday, Sweet Baby James.  We love you so much, and don't you forget it!!!
