The Littles had their preschool Spring program, and we enjoyed hearing them sing.  This was Hannah's first school performance, because she was sick just before the Thanksgiving program.  She and James both sang sweet praises to Jesus.  The theme was A Camping We Will Go.  The treat following was premade S'mores snack bags.  After the program, Mimi and Grandy went with us to Baskin Robbins for ice cream.

The first grade at TCPS held a Valentine Tea Party.  It was so cute! The students dressed up in their parents' clothes, and the boys escorted the girls across a stage as their names were called.  Connor decided to wear Weston's bow tie for a tuxedo look.  He was so handsome. We teased him a little, because he was the only boy in the class that got the privilege to escort two lucky ladies--Elle Smith and Naomi Ramsey.

January brought an extended winter break.  We celebrated my 38th birthday at home, and Will made me a homemade cake from recipes found on Pinterest.  It was a moist chocolate cake with Oreo buttercream frosting.  We all thought it was delicious!  It snowed the weekend of my birthday, so the kids were out of school for the following week.  We used these snow days to potty train Hannah.  It only took her one week to be trained.  She went back to school in big girl panties. Upon returning to school, Connor lost his first tooth.  Miss Dickerson pulled it for him in class.  I was very thankful.

I wanted to do something special together as a family as part of the kids' Christmas this year, so Will and I booked the Gaylord Opryland Resort for some good family fun.  We loaded everyone up in the car on Thursday and told the kids where we were headed after we were on our way.  We arrived late afternoon, and Mimi and Grandy met up with us for pizza in the resort atrium.  The resort was decorated so pretty with lights everywhere, and Christmas music filled the air.  We went ice skating, and we had the best time!  Everyone got out on the ice, even Hannah, who was a little hesitant.  The "Littles" rode on a polar bear seat that we pushed around.  Weston and Connor braved the ice skating rink without skating aids, and they did really well.  Will and I had a blast pushing the kids as fast as we could around the rink.  We also formed a train as we skated around in a line with hands on each other's hips. The next day, we went to the Cirque Dreams Holidaze show at the Grand Old Opry.  We also took a ride on the Delta Riverboat Cruise that winds through the Opryland Resort.  We left to come home today, so we could be home on Christmas Eve.  The kids have already said that they want to come back again next year!
