We celebrated Weston's 9th birthday with some of our favorite things--a hibachi/sushi dinner at Mt. Fuji and Memphis Redbirds baseball at Autozone Park.  Weston asked for a bike, a rocket, and a Garmin fitness watch for his birthday.  He got a new red bike from Mimi and Grandy.  Mommy and Daddy gave him the watch, and Nana and Granddaddy gave him the rocket.
Today, we went to our first Sunday Redbirds game.  Mimi and Grandy went with us.  The special thing about Sunday games is that the kids get to run the bases on the field when the game is over.  Weston, Connor, and James all ran the bases together.  It was a pretty neat experience! Those bases were much farther apart than the ones Weston and Connor are used to running.
Next month, Weston and Connor will have their combined birthday party to celebrate with friends.  They are going to have it at the skating rink.

6U All-Star Baseball State Tournament

Quiet ride home
Connor and his 6U All-Star team competed this weekend in Richland, MS for the state tournament.  They played well, got lots of hits, but the final game came down to a bad call.  We were bummed, but the boys fought hard.  Everyone was exhausted from being at the ball fields all weekend and playing at the hotel, so we had a quiet ride home.

Hannah's First Night in Her Big Girl Bed

Hannah slept in her big girl bed last night for the first time.  We gave her crib to Mary and David Godbold to use for baby Connor.  Hannah slept through the night well, and she didn't even get up and come to the door.  We're thankful that the transition was successful for this newly-turned two year-old.

We celebrated Hannah's 2nd birthday party at home tonight with family.  Mimi and Grandy came over for dinner.  Daddy grilled hamburger sliders, and Mommy made some very special lavender iced cupcakes for her very special girl.  Hannah wore the Ariel costume that Nana and Granddaddy gave her.  She opened presents with the help of her big brother James.  She got a lavender sparkly purse from Mommy and Daddy.  Her brothers gave her a Disney Princess book and play mat that came with 11 Disney princess figures.  Mimi and Grandy gave the birthday girl some Disney movies.  Hannah ate dessert first tonight...why not, when it's your birthday!  She kept inching closer to the cupcake stand until she grabbed one and started digging in to the icing.  She got to say the blessing when everyone sat down to eat dinner. This little girl is so loved.  We are very thankful for her sweet little spirit.
