Weston's 3 year old class went on their first field trips at the end of September and beginning of October. First, we walked to the fire station. Then, on another day, we went to the Pumpkin Patch. Weston had so much fun, and I was so glad to be able to share these experiences with him.

It's the football fairy

It is football season, and Weston is in heaven! When we say prayers at night, he almost always says, "Thank you God for football game". Every time State scores, fireworks are launched. So one night Weston said, "Thank you God for fireworks that make Weston go 'woo'". He is a funny little guy. We are having lots of fun tailgating with friends again this year. Abby & Brent came to visit and we hung out at the tailgate together. That night Weston said, "Thank you God for Noah" and "thank you for playing football with Noah". I thought that was really sweet. We are so thankful for our good friends, the Carnathans. The next weekend, we went to watch an away game at the Ramels' house. Weston played with Ella Grace in her room. When I walked in, I found Ella Grace dressed like a princess, Weston wearing her tiara, and they were singing into a microphone.

Weston and Connor had their first day of school on September 6th. This was Connor's very first day of school ever, but Weston is now in 3 year old preschool. Weston is in Mrs. Becky's and Mrs. Leigh's class. He calls his teachers "Mrs. Mecky" and "Mrs. Wee". He is having lots of fun in his new class. Weston loves going to the treasure box on Thursdays. One of the treasures he picked out was a huge plastic pretend watch. He's been wearing it everywhere we go for about two weeks now. Connor is having a bit of a hard time adjusting to school. He is used to getting both a morning and afternoon nap. At school, the toddlers don't get to take their morning naps, so Connor has been really fussy for his teachers. I really hope his teachers will love him in time. He really is such a sweet little baby.

Connor turned one year old on September 1st. We celebrated his birthday at Orange Beach in lieu of a birthday party at home. It was so fun and relaxing! However, I took on making the crab cake instead of ordering one. I wanted to put a personal touch on his birthday. Let's just say that it was a labor of love! It was a 2 day process. Will helped me ice the cake and all the little twinkies we used to make the crab leg segments. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Weston, we knew your 3rd birthday party had to be at the fire station! Ever since the fire truck visited your school back in the Fall, we haven't driven by a fire station without hearing you say, "Look, Mommy, fire trucks!" This was by far your best birthday party to date. You enjoyed talking to the firemen, and I think you spent about 30 minutes playing in the truck. You buckled yourself in the seatbelt, and you were ready respond to a call. But, you did get a little frightened when you saw Fireman Carlos slide down the pole. You didn't know where he went. You thought he just disappeared. Well, you've been saying "I fwee" for a while now, and now it is finally true. Happy 3rd Birthday, Sweetie. Mommy and Daddy love you so much. You bring us so much joy and we thank God for the precious gift that He gave us when He gave us you!

For the 4th of July weekend and our 6th wedding anniversary, Will and I went back to the Marriott Shoals. This time, we decided to bring the kids. We had lots of fun swimming in the pool, eating dinner on the veranda, and watching movies each night poolside. We brought Weston's "rescue pack" with us that carried his tent, sleeping bag, and flash light. This was his first time to sleep in a tent, and he loved it! He was also excited to have his very own flashlight, which we used to read his bedtime books in the tent. Mimi and Grandy came to see the fireworks on the 4th. Connor was mesmerized by the fireworks. This was his first fireworks show. We had such great family time, and we look forward to going back.

Last weekend, we rented a camper from the Air Force base to go on our first family camping trip. We went to Piney Grove at Bay Springs Lake so we could do some boating, too. Weston was so excited about staying out in the woods in his "camper trailer". He was such a great helper when we were unpacking and putting things away in the cabinets. He also followed Will everytime he walked outside the trailer, so he could help with whatever Will was doing. Weston had his "rescue pack" backpack with him that contained his very own flash light, compass, and water bottle. He was so excited to have his own flash light. Connor was crawling all over the trailer and looking for things to get into, and he found the fire extinguisher. He was actually able to pull the pin out all by himself before we took it away. During the day, we took the boat out for some relaxing on the water. We had so much fun that Will thinks we should buy a trailer!

Connor turned 8 months old in May. On Mother's day, he began doing the "army crawl" forward, and it was so cute. But, he also started climbing out of the bumbo seat, the swing (while it was moving), and the exersaucer. He is now crawling all over the place and getting into everything. We took the boat out a few times for a day at the lake. Weston is very serious about helping Will drive the boat. He always has a deep look of concentration on his face that cracks me up. We are looking forward to a fun summer!

Flashback to Weston's first day in September...

and when he, though still a baby himself,
became a BIG brother.

Weston went to his last day of 2 year old playschool on May 17. As I drove to pick him up, I reflected on all the events of this year. I was reminded of how quickly a school year passes. Weston welcomed home baby Connor from the hospital just days before his first day of school in September. Now Connor is 8 1/2 months, and I can't even begin to tell you how much change he's undergone. But I've noted more subtle changes with Weston...He first walked in the door to his 2 yr. old class with chubby little cheeks, carrying his ducky and his "pack-pack", but he walked out saying "I fwee"--even though his birthday is still a couple of months away. He knows songs, colors, shapes, and the ABCs. His cheeks have slimmed down a little and he now claims, "Ducky don' wanna go to school today" and "I want to do [everything] by myself"! At bedtime, we say, "I love you sooooo much", and Weston says, "and don't you forget it!" Lately, he has been reminding me that his birthday is "Ju-lies the twen-second" and that he wants "cu-cakes and ice kweam" and "special cookies"(whatever that means)! I think it is so funny that he feels he needs to remind me when his birthday is. I could never forget that special day! Weston, I love you soooo much, and don't you forget it!!!

What a difference a year makes! Last year, Weston didn't really know how to hunt eggs. I picked them up for him, and for fun, he dumped the jelly beans out of the eggs. He didn't really care to eat the candy. This year, he had no problem hunting the eggs, and especially eating the candy. Will and I learned that too much candy turned our sweet Weston into a little monster! He threw tantrums and acted very mean when we cut him off. So, we hid his candy on a top shelf in our kitchen cabinets in order to distribute a little at a time. While I was tending to Connor one day, he snuck into the kitchen with his little Noah's Ark chair and climbed up on the counter to get it. There were about 10 empty wrappers when I caught him with a big grin, and what he calls "choc-it", all over his face.

Six and a Half Months

Sweet little Connor Calloway is 6 1/2 months old already...over the halfway point to his 1st birthday! I can't believe it. He has one tooth that he often flashes with a grin. He loves entertaining himself in his Exersaucer or jumping up and down in his Jumperoo. He rolls all over the floor and even makes attempts to crawl. He laughs hysterically when you tickle him. Most of all, he loves blowing bubbles at you and making smacking noises with his lips. He has such a cute little personality.

Weston does the funniest things! He came running out of the bathroom one day wearing his baseball potty insert on his head and saying, "I Toilet-head!" It was all fun and games for him till it got stuck!! It took us about 5 minutes of tugging, crying, kicking, and screaming to get it off. When I pulled it by the handles, Weston came up off the floor with it!! He learned a tough lesson that day. I don't think I have to worry about him putting his potty on his head anymore.

So, it has snowed 3 times in only one month!! We woke up to our first white Christmas ever on Christmas morning. It was so beautiful. The snow was coming down hard and fast, but it soon melted. Then, on January 10th, we got 8 inches of snow!! We played in the snow with our neighborhood friends. We met up at the levee and went down the hill on our make-shift Mississippi sleds. Weston had the best time. Connor got out in the snow only for a photo or two. Otherwise, we kept him warm and cozy so he wouldn't get sick. Connor bundled up in a fleece cow outfit. He was so cute. Later that day, he tasted his first solid foods. It snowed again last night, but it has already melted.

Will & I are so excited this Christmas about starting a new tradition. We are having a birthday party for Jesus on Christmas morning. Will is going to make us pancakes for breakfast. We will sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus and blow out a birthday candle. Then, we are going to read the story of Jesus's birth before opening presents. We are trying to make sure Christ is the center of Christmas, so our children will know the real reason we celebrate.

We went to Weston's first school program in November. It quite possibly was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I didn't know if Weston would actually perform when he saw the large audience, but our little ham had no problem putting on a show! His group sang "10 Little Indian Children", "5 Little Hot Dogs", and "Jesus Loves Me". Will & I were such proud parents. We look forward to many more school programs in the future.

I can't believe Connor is 2 months old today! He is such a sweet addition to our family. Time really flies when you are having fun. He's already done a lot in his short little life. So far, he has been to watch a Mississippi State game, tailgated at 3 games with friends in Starkville, relaxed at Orange Beach, and attended two Halloween parties in costume. Connor has been a very busy guy. He goes to the doctor on Thursday for his 2 month checkup.

On October 28, Weston had his 2 year old preschool Halloween party. He didn't eat much lunch that day according to his teachers, but he sure had plenty of room for the cheetos, fruit snacks, and giant pumpkin cookie! He kept referring to his Halloween party favors as "tea party!" when we got home. Weston pushed a chair in the kitchen over to the counter, climbed up in the chair, and attempted to grab the candy and party favors before I beat him to it. He already had plenty of candy and treats that day! He was supposed to wear his Halloween costume (a lion) to school, but he refused to put it on. "I don wike it". So, he resorted to wearing his favorite shirt of this season--a football jersey! He asks to wear it to school often, but this day it doubled as his Halloween costume too. He also asks to wear his brown cowboy boots everywhere he goes now. He has other shoes, but only the boots will suffice. Courtney said Ella came home from school one day saying she wanted some boots like Weston's...so funny how that starts at such a young age.

Will & I got tickets to see Bon Jovi on October 15th. Since it was an outdoor concert on the beach, we decided to take Weston to his first rock concert. There were 35,000 people in attendance. Not many two year olds can say they have seen Bon Jovi with their parents--or with their grandmother, either! Mimi went with us (because she thinks Bon Jovi is "cute"), while Grandy kept Connor in the condo. Grandy really bonded with Connor that weekend. It was really sweet to see them together. The next day, Connor hung out on the beach for a little while with Weston. Weston even took a two hour nap on the sand. We had so much fun, and I didn't want to come back home. I just want to live at the beach!!

We took Weston & Connor to their first Mississippi State tailgate last weekend in Starkville. It was appropriate for their first because the Mississippi State Bulldogs played the Georgia Bulldogs. We dressed the boys in their maroon dawg gear for the game since we were in Starkville. Will was the black sheep of the family sporting his Georgia gameday shirt. Luckily, the "maroon dawgs" beat the "red dawgs" in this year's "Dawg Bowl". Go State! I guess Coach Dan Mullen let the dawgs out this time.

Weston had so much fun playing with his friends and throwing the football at our tailgate spot. He looked so precious in his Bulldog jersey. He asked to wear it to school this week, too.

Here are some pictures Will and I took of Connor in his first two weeks, and some with his big brother Weston. I regret not taking Mommy & Baby pictures with Weston, so I made sure I got some this time with Connor. At Connor's two week checkup with his pediatrician on September 16, he had already grown an inch and a half and gained 19 ounces. He currently eats about every 3 hours during the day, and he takes a 5 hour stretch at night. He sleeps in the bassinet that my mom and her older brother and me and my older brother all slept in as babies. My mom repainted it and gave us the bedding for it as a gift.
Weston loves the guitar Connor gave him when we came home from the hospital. He enjoys holding his little brother a couple of times each day. The first thing Weston wants to do when he wakes up is go check on his "Baby Connor". When Connor cries during the day, Weston says, "I tummin' (coming) Connor". It is so precious. He is already looking out for his little brother.

On September 7, Will, Connor, and I took Weston to his first day of 2 year old playschool. Once we got him to his new class, he went right to playing in all the learning centers. His teachers, Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Lori, were very nice. He had a good first day!

In the past two weeks, he has talked about school and his teachers often. One Friday, I asked Weston, "What do you want to do today?" He answered, "go to school". I explained to him that we would have to wait until the next Tuesday to go back to school.

I love how his teachers send home the lesson plans for what they are working on. They have been learning about apples, the color red, and circles this week. He is painting, coloring pictures, glueing, and singing new songs. Our refrigerator is already full of some of Weston's masterpieces. I love school as much as he does!

One week ago today, Connor Calloway was welcomed and adored by his mom, dad, and big brother. He made his surprise arrival at 38 weeks on September 1st at 4:28 pm. He was 5 pounds, 15 ounces and 19 inches long. We are so in love with him. He is absolutely adorable and is such a sweet baby. Will and I feel extremely blessed to have two precious little boys. God is so good!

Will, Weston, and I went to Smith Lake two weekends ago for our last getaway before Connor is born. We had such a great time. It was so relaxing, and a much needed retreat. Weston enjoyed boating by day and swimming in the pool at night. He has become quite the little fish this summer. Will and I were actually able to do some reading in the mornings when Weston slept in. We hope to make another trip to stay at the lake this Fall, after we get adjusted to having sweet little Connor around. He will be here in less than 3 weeks!

Weston, we can't believe you are already 2 years old. It has been such great fun watching you grow and learn new things. We love you so much! For your party on July 24, we invited your friends to come slip n'slide and play on the swinget in our backyard. We played a little t-ball, because "aseball" (baseball) is your favorite sport right now. You ate cake, cupcakes, goldfish, and ice cream with your friends after they sang Happy Birthday to you. You loved wearing your "dir-day" (birthday) hat, and asked to wear it for days after your birthday! You had so much fun at your party, and you loved opening presents. Will and I have been busy working on nesting projects all summer as we get ready for Connor's arrival. We painted two bathrooms and changed mirrors and fixtures. We built an outdoor playset for Weston and refinished patio furniture. We painted Weston's big boy room and moved him to a big bed, which he loves! We also trained Weston to use the potty, which was probably the most challenging of all "projects". I have been busy painting canvases for the boys' rooms, cleaning out closets, and finishing Weston's baby book:) Next on the list is washing and putting away baby clothes for Connor. The summer has flown by, but it has been a lot of fun preparing for the arrival of our new little guy...less than 6 weeks to go!!!

Will and I celebrated our 5th wedding on July 2nd. Five years have flown by so fast! It has been great sharing life with my best friend. Will is such a wonderful husband and father, and I feel so blessed to have him in my life. God has been so good to us over the years as we have moved several places and met many wonderful friends. He has blessed us with our sons, Weston (2 years old) and Connor (who will arrive in less than 6 weeks)! After a very busy weekend, we went to the Columbus air show on Sunday after church. We almost skipped it because we were so tired, but it was well worth the trip. Weston enjoyed looking at all the "panes", and Will got to see his friend John "NUKE" Gallemore. Will & John were T-37 instructors together at Columbus years ago, and they both went on to fly F-16s in Phoenix, AZ for a little while. I think it has been 5 years since we last saw the Gallemores. They are stationed in Las Vegas now.

Abby, Kim, and Noah met up with us in Orange Beach two weeks ago. We had fun getting our boys together, and catching up before Evie Kate and Connor get here in August and September! Okay, so let's rewind a little....There has been a sick cloud around the Parrott household. Weston has had every illness in the book over the past 2 months, bilateral ear infections, roseola, pneumonia, pharyngitis, and an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. The boy has been a walking antibiotic for at least 6 weeks now. We were prescribed a new one today, when he was diagnosed with yet another bilateral ear infection! We are getting tubes ASAP. We have a consult with our ENT on Tuesday. So, maybe our little sick cloud will be lifted soon!

I'm 13 weeks pregnant now, and my energy is coming back (hence, the blog update!). We will find out what gender we are having on April 12th. I can't wait!

Will has been hard at work for Edward Jones as a Financial Advisor. He took over an office in town recently, and is doing a great job taking care of his clients.

I can't wait for warmer weather and Spring to get here. It would be nice to take Weston outside and play for a change.

Weston was a dragon this year for Halloween. When I put the costume on him, he just laughed. It was adorable and hilarious. His friend Ella came over to take a few pictures before Trick or Treating. We were supposed to go to a hay ride and Halloween party at a friend's house, but we didn't make it. Weston was tired and fussy. We didn't do much Trick or Treating, either. He had enough fun going to the door every time the doorbell rang. Monday morning, he was diagnosed with strep! Poor little dragon!

We have been so busy lately, and I haven't updated in a while. Will pinned on Major on October 1. His ceremony was September 30, because we hit the road for Tulley's wedding in Richmond, VA on October 1st. We drove a little out of the way to stop in Sumter for dinner with Thad, Lara, Paul, and Marie at the Vincent's. We got to visit with a few Alice Drive friends too, and even our old friend Baker's Sweets. Our visit was way too short, and we didn't get to see everyone that we would have liked to visit with, so we will just have to make another trip. We went to the wedding, which Will officiated--yes, this makes #4 for the "minister":) Chris & Kate's wedding was very nice and personal. It was so good to see them, as well as Jason/Laura Hill and Kenny/Amy Bartlett. We had such a great trip, and Weston tolerated the 13 hour return home much better than expected. I've been working 1-2 days a week at Head Start doing screenings/speech therapy. Last weekend, my nephew Andrew turned 5 years old. We went to Chucky Cheese for his birthday party. On Sunday, we went to church, then to Memphis for Rachel's shower, then back to Tupelo for Weston's friend Kendall's 1st birthday party. We are ready to stay put for just a little while. Will starts his job with Edward Jones on October 19, so keep him in your prayers. He will still do his flying job in Columbus (part time Reserves).

We went to Orange Beach, AL to stay at Mimi & Grandy's condo the last week of August. This was Weston's second trip to the beach, although he probably doesn't remember the first. He was only 6 weeks old when we went last year. Weston really had a blast this year. He was so happy all week long. He loved playing with his dump truck in the sand, climbing on beach chairs, and playing in the water. He got a lot of practice walking on sand, and he was determined to walk everywhere without holding onto our hands. Our baby is officially a TODDLER now!

The result of the biggest celebration weekend he's ever had!

Weston turned one year old on July 22nd. His 1st birthday bash was at Fairpark on Saturday, where we celebrated with friends and family. We had so much fun! Weston really enjoyed splashing in the fountain. All his little friends were splashing around with him. We took more than enough pictures to remember this big day, as you will see. The theme for his party was monkeys...monkey cake, monkey suit, monkey favors...he even got some monkey books and a monkey backpack! Our Sumter friends, the Joneses (Paul & Marie) and the Vincents (Thad & Lara), were so thoughtful to send Weston a package with "Curious George" and "Five Little Monkeys" books inside. Weston loves reading his books! Dan, Kristen, and Joshua Alexander were so sweet to come all the way from the coast for Weston's party. We had so much fun hanging out with them on Friday night at Old Venice, and again on Saturday at Fairpark. Weston & Joshua are such great playmates! Will and I have been overwhelmed with the abundance of friends here in Tupelo. We are so thankful to have such sweet friends here, since leaving our Sumter friends was difficult for us. God has blessed us so much!!

To top off the big weekend celebration, we had Weston's infant baptism on Sunday. Weston wore the same white outfit that his cousin Andrew wore for his baptism several years ago. That was so special that the outfit could be passed down for Weston's baptism. Thanks to Brian & Marzelle for letting us borrow it. Weston did really well on stage...he did not scream or cry like I was afraid he would!

Will and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on July 2 (time really flies). He surprised me and took me back to Dunleith Plantation, where we were married. We actually got to stay in the same room that I stayed in the night before the wedding, just by chance. My mom and dad kept Weston for us, so it was just the two of us. We had such a great time. It was so nice to sit on the porch at night and rock in the rocking chairs. What a great place! I already can't wait to go back!

A couple of weeks ago the Space Shuttle Atlantis was traveling back to Florida from California after a mission. They had to stop and refuel at Columbus AFB, so we got to watch it land and taxi down the runway! It was a really amazing sight...it traveled strapped to the back of a 747. We took a trip to Little Dooey's afterwards for lunch. It was such a fun day at Will's work. Something tells me there wasn't much "work" taking place at the base that day, because everyone and their families were out on the runway to watch this historical event. I think the Atlantis only has 2 more missions in space before it will be retired.

Will is about to be finished with his 4 month training in San Antonio! We can't wait for him to be home!! We took our last trip to San Antonio for Mother's Day weekend. My parents drove Weston and me out there to visit Will. My mom had never been out there, so we took my parents to the Alamo, the Riverwalk, and Tower of the Americas. On the way home, we stopped in Monroe, Louisiana, to visit the Fitzgeralds and the Goodes. After being away for a week and in the car for a total of more than 26 hours, there is no place like home. So good to be back!!

During our most recent trip to San Antonio, we took Weston on several adventures. We went to a drive-thru safari where animals come up to your car to be fed. I fed an ostrich, and Will fed a zebra. It was so neat. Weston just loved looking at all the animals up close. We also took him to Sea World. He laughed at the sea lions during their show. He enjoyed watching Shamu splash the audience. It was really fun to see him look in amazement at all these new things. Weston also had his first taste of ice cream while in Texas. He loves ice cream just like his mom! Weston is crawling forward now! Will was so glad he got to see this firsthand. He occasionally tries to imitate words and it is so cute. I am having so much fun with him at this age.

We went to visit Abby in early April to see Noah. Abby thought it would be cute to put the boys together on the couch for a picture. Well, Weston immediately tried to eat Noah!!! Weston attended his very first birthday party today. His friend Maggie Oxford is turning one. It was an Easter egg hunt, so Weston brought his basket...but we didn't come home with any eggs! Weston & I just returned from a trip to San Antonio. He tolerated air travel pretty well. Each time, he would get fussy for a little bit, then fall asleep to the noise of the engine. I took his picture in the cockpit with the pilot so he could remember his first flight. He also wanted to "remember the Alamo", so we took him there on our way to the Riverwalk. He had a blast watching all the people and boats go by. We also went to the top of the Tower of the Americas and had dinner at the Chart House restaurant. He enjoyed looking out the big windows & it was such a cool view of the city. Will has been going to Oak Hills Church where Max Lucado is pastor, so we went there the Sunday before last. The sermon series right now is The Story from his book (same title). We really enjoyed listening to him. Weston & I had so much fun in San Antonio, and we can't wait to go back.

We've had a busy week, so far. On Sunday, we went to watch the Superbowl at the Brands' house. Weston and Ivey Kate became friends. On Monday, we ran errands all afternoon with Mimi. Weston was crying at Hobby Lobby until I put several long-stem silk daisies in his hands. He was holding them in his fist like they were balloons, and he had the biggest smile on his face as he looked up at them. I wish I had my camera! Tuesday, we went to lunch with Susannah & Corinne Pace. Today, we took BOTH dogs to the vet. Mimi tagged along for some much needed help. Our new vet's name is Stephen King...remember Pet Cemetery! Weston has been working on some new tricks--pulling himself up to a sitting position. He took his bath sitting up tonight, and he was so proud of himself. He is learning to expect an applause for each of these new tricks. We miss you Daddy and can't wait to see you soon!

Yesterday, the Teething Fairy visited our house. Weston cried so hard and appeared to be in a lot of pain. So much for the quiet evening I had planned to watch a movie and read from a new book! Well, after about an hour and a half (and pharmaceutical intervention), the crying stopped and happy baby returned. I put him in his Jumpster for a little bit and got some good video clips for Will. Weston jumped so hard that he wore himself out! He was sleeping so hard that he didn't even wake up when I moved him to the crib. Today, we joined some of our friends at the mall playground. I took a picture of Maggie Oxford (John & Emily's little girl) with Weston. Weston was ready for a nap, but Maggie was ready to play!

Weston turned six months old this week. He went to the doctor for shots and a checkup on Thursday. Weston weighed 14 pounds and 2 ounces. He was 26 1/4 inches long. He is long and lean! Will & I are excited that he doubled his birth weight (and then some) by 6 months. I read that babies typically do that. We weren't sure he was going to make it! He loves to eat, though. He hasn't turned anything away yet...even peas, green beans, prunes, or sweet potatoes (which I detest). He is getting used to drinking from a sippie cup, and he loves it! I love it, because I don't have to hold it for him! But...in my opinion, he is growing up too fast. Time has really flown by and he'll be leaving for college soon!! Go DAWGS! (Mississippi State or Georgia, which DAWGS will it be?)

Well...where do we begin? We left our house in Sumter, SC, on December 9th. We stayed in our friends' condo for a few nights before leaving Sumter (sadly) on December 12th. We drove straight to Tupelo, MS, to crash with my parents. We took a day trip to Tishomingo State Park, where my brother and his family had a cabin. My friend Rachel drove up from Southaven to meet Weston. (She and Dustin got engaged over Christmas!) Will & I hung out in Tupelo through Christmas Eve, and then traveled to Fayetteville, GA, on Christmas day to be with the Parrotts. We returned from Georgia and closed on our new house on December 29th. Our furniture and household goods arrived on the 30th. We put the house together in "While You Were Out" fashion, just in time for Brent & Abby to spend New Year's Eve with us! We love our new house and I am so thankful that we are no longer "homeless". I need a little stability, even if just for a few weeks. So, Will & I have decided that I should just commute back and forth to San Antonio for several weeks at a time. We'll fly Southwest and maybe Weston can get his first set of wings!

We went to Astor, Florida two weekends ago for Abby's baby shower. It was such a great weekend to be in the metropolis of Astor (population <1500), because they had their annual Christmas parade and boat parade on the St. John's River. The Blair's have built such a beautiful home there. It was so good to see Abby and Brent. Abby is due to have Noah around February 27th. She looked so cute with her baby bump. We had so much fun hanging out by the fire on the Blair's porch. We can't wait to meet Noah!!!

So Many Changes So Soon

Well, Will and I are back in Mississippi after leaving Sumter a week ago. It all happened so fast with all our traveling over Thanksgiving, we weren't able to tell all our Sumter friends "Goodbye". So...we'll just say "See ya later", as we plan to visit as soon as we can. Will wanted to come back for New Year's, but we will in the process of moving into our new house...before we leave for San Antonio for a few months. We miss our Sumter friends so much, and we hope you all have a very merry Christmas. Thad & Lara, your present came early...I'm sure you've figured it out by now!!! Sundays are kind of sad for us because we miss being at CCC, but we are looking for a new church home in Tupelo. We send our love!

Last Monday, Will had his fini-flight in the F16 "Viper". Family and friends were invited to watch Will land the F16 for the last time and to walk out on the flight line for the show that followed. It is tradition for the pilot having his fini-flight to be tackled upon leaving the jet and hosed down by his wife. That was my favorite part! Make sure you check out the video clips. We appreciate all our wonderful friends for coming out to support Will. Thanks, Paul and Marie for feeding Weston his bottle on the flight line! Thanks Dan, Paul, Marie, and Kara for taking such great pictures and video clips, so we can always remember Will's last hurrah in the F16.

For Weston's first halloween, we went over to Tony & Lois's house next door to trick or treat. Lois was so sweet to put together a basket for Weston with cute and interactive stuffed animals. Lois also put together 150 bags of candy wrapped with ribbon to pass out to children in the neighborhood--I was so impressed. Thank you, Tony and Lois, for being such wonderful neighbors. I took a picture of Weston in his cow suit next to their pumpkin. Nana and Granddaddy also came to visit for the weekend. We went to church on Sunday at our church's beautiful property. CCC rented a huge wedding tent for the service, and we had lunch on the grounds afterwards. We took some pictures after church with my friend Susie. It is a shame we won't be around to see the future Christ Community Church building. CCC has been such an incredible church family for us. It will be so hard to leave all our friends.

We dressed Weston up in his first Halloween costume to take him to Christ Community Church's Fall Festival. (Thanks, Mimi, for sending us the cow costume). Weston loved it. He was so alert during the festival. Our LifeGroup (small group Bible study) set up a Speed Pitch booth. We used a radar gun to tell how fast everyone could pitch a baseball. When Will and Paul were setting up the booth, Will thought it would be funny to sprint as fast as he could while Paul clocked him. He came home and proudly said, "I can run 15 miles an hour!" At the booth, it seemed like there were more men lined up than children...waiting to prove themselves. There was a bit of a competition between our youth pastor, worship pastor, and lead pastor (who was a pitcher in college). Our youth pastor won with a 75 MPH pitch.
